Pastor Wilken talks about two recent definitions of liberalism and conservatism that he ran across. Not in the issue by issue sense, but the in assumptions they hold. Pastor Wilken discusses the liberal notion that the past is guilty until proven innocent. In his comment on how this relates to the church (at about 15:59), he says, “What came before is dismissed…We hear things like, ‘This isn’t your grandfather’s church.’” Now where have I hear that?
